Stable Physical Performance PS Sheet
HIPS Sheet (High Impact Polystyrene Sheet) Product Introduction

1. Product Overview

HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) sheet is a high-toughness modified thermoplastic sheet manufactured by blending and grafting polybutadiene rubber into general polystyrene matrix. Compared with ordinary GPPS sheet, it effectively overcomes the brittleness defect of pure polystyrene. With excellent impact resistance, stable physical properties and superior processability, this opaque rigid plastic sheet has become one of the most cost-effective and versatile plastic materials for industrial and commercial applications.

2. Core Features & Advantages

  • Superior Impact Resistance: The internally dispersed rubber particles can absorb impact energy and block crack propagation, greatly improving toughness and anti-fracture performance, not easy to crack or break under normal collision and extrusion.
  • Excellent Processability: It features low thermoforming temperature, wide processing window and good ductility. It supports thermoforming, cutting, bending, punching, printing and vacuum forming, and is compatible with most standard plastic processing equipment, suitable for complex shape molding.
  • Stable Physical Performance: Boasts good dimensional stability, low water absorption and strong rigidity. It maintains stable performance in the temperature range of -20°C to 70°C, not easy to deform in daily use.
  • Premium Surface Performance: The sheet surface is smooth and flat, available in glossy and matte finishes. It has outstanding printability and adhesion, which can perfectly support screen printing, offset printing and surface laminating.
  • Cost-Effective & Eco-Friendly: Lightweight with low comprehensive production cost, it is recyclable and pollution-free. It meets conventional environmental protection standards and is suitable for large-scale batch production.
  • Good Chemical Resistance: It has moderate resistance to daily acids, alkalis and oils, with stable anti-corrosion performance in conventional working environments.
