PA/PE Transparent Thermoforming top and bottom Film

PA/PE Transparent Thermoforming Film (Medium-Barrier)

PA/PE transparent thermoforming film is a medium-barrier composite base film designed specifically for high-end food packaging. Produced using multi-layer co-extrusion technology, it seamlessly combines polyamide (PA) and polyethylene (PE) to deliver superior product protection and thermoforming performance.

The core advantage of this composite film lies in the complementary nature of its materials. The PA (nylon) layer provides exceptional mechanical strength and puncture resistance, effectively withstanding damage from sharp edges—such as those found on bone-in meats or hard-shelled seafood—while offering excellent oxygen and moisture barrier properties to prevent oxidation, spoilage, or moisture loss. The PE layer serves as the heat-sealing layer; being odorless, non-toxic, and low-temperature resistant, it ensures reliable sealing and flexibility during vacuum packaging or thermoforming processes.

As a "medium-barrier film," it strikes an optimal balance between extending food shelf life and managing packaging costs. Its transparency perfectly showcases the food's color and texture, enhancing shelf appeal. Typically ranging in thickness from 0.045 mm to 0.35 mm, the film is widely used for vacuum packaging and Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) of frozen meats, dairy products, seafood, and ready-to-eat foods.

Furthermore, this food-grade composite film offers excellent processing versatility; it is compatible with most vacuum and thermoform-fill-seal (FFS) production lines while maintaining uniform thickness and good slip properties on both sides. For food companies requiring high barrier performance, robust durability, and aesthetic appeal, PA/PE transparent thermoforming film is an ideal choice that balances food safety, freshness preservation, and cost-efficiency.
