White Glossy Opaque PVC Film for Pharmaceutical Blister Packaging

This product is a white, glossy, opaque rigid PVC film designed specifically for pharmaceutical aluminum-plastic blister packaging. Manufactured using a precision calendering process with pharmaceutical-grade PVC resin and compliant, non-toxic stabilizers and opacifiers, it meets all standards for pharmaceutical packaging materials. It serves as an ideal blister-forming substrate for light-sensitive tablets, capsules, and pills.

The film features a uniform, bright white appearance with a smooth, glossy finish. It is completely opaque, providing an effective barrier against visible light and ultraviolet rays; this prevents light-induced oxidation, decomposition, and discoloration, thereby significantly enhancing the storage stability of light-sensitive formulations. The film surface is free from gel particles, air bubbles, scratches, and color variations, with consistent thickness (typically ranging from 0.20 mm to 0.45 mm) suitable for various fully automatic blister packaging machines, including both flat-plate and rotary types.

The material exhibits excellent thermoforming properties, offering good plasticity upon heating; it yields clearly defined blister contours and uniform wall thickness, minimizing the risk of thin spots or blister ruptures. It possesses optimal rigidity and impact resistance, ensuring a robust blister structure that effectively protects the medication during storage and transport. The film offers excellent chemical stability with no leaching of harmful substances; residual vinyl chloride monomer levels are strictly controlled within standard limits, and it does not interact with most solid medications. It also demonstrates excellent heat-sealing compatibility with PTP pharmaceutical aluminum foil, creating a tight seal that protects against moisture and dust. Additionally, the surface is suitable for printing information such as drug names, batch numbers, and expiration dates.

This white opaque PVC film is widely used for the unit-dose blister packaging of light-sensitive medications, including vitamins, antibiotics, and traditional Chinese medicine pills. For products requiring superior moisture protection, the film can be further enhanced with a PVDC coating to improve barrier performance, balancing ease of processing with long-term storage safety for the medication.
