APET/PE Laminated Rigid Sheet Heat-Sealable, Food-Grade

0.45mm High-Transparency APET/PE Laminated Rigid Sheet (Specifically for Food-Grade Blister Bottom Trays)

This high-transparency APET/PE laminated rigid sheet is a functional composite material custom-engineered specifically for the blister bottom trays used in food packaging. It is precisely designed to meet the heat-sealing requirements of PA/PE top films, combining food-grade safety, exceptional transparency, high rigidity, and superior heat-sealing performance. Widely utilized in blister tray packaging for fresh meats, cooked foods, sushi, fruits, and ready-to-eat meals, it serves as a core substrate for both cold-chain logistics and ambient-temperature food packaging.

This rigid sheet is manufactured through a co-extrusion/lamination process using food-grade virgin APET and PE resins. The outer layer consists of a high-transparency APET film, offering a light transmittance of ≥92% and a high-gloss finish that clearly showcases the product's appearance. The inner layer is a food-grade PE (LDPE/LLDPE/mPE) film, providing excellent heat-sealing properties; it exhibits high compatibility with PA/PE top films, ensures stable heat-seal strength, and meets the rigorous demands of automated Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) production lines, eliminating the risk of edge cracking or leakage. The intermediate functional bonding layer utilizes food-contact-grade resins to ensure optimal interlayer adhesion, preventing cracking or delamination after blister forming and thereby safeguarding the structural integrity of the tray.

In terms of performance, the 0.45mm thickness strikes an ideal balance between rigidity and toughness. It features a heat distortion temperature of 70°C and excellent low-temperature resistance, making it highly suitable for cold-chain transportation and refrigerated storage environments. Furthermore, it boasts superior barrier properties, effectively blocking oxygen and water vapor to extend food shelf life. The material complies with relevant standards—such as *Plastic Materials and Articles Intended to Come into Contact with Food*—and holds food-contact safety certifications; it is free from odors and harmful migratory substances, ensuring full regulatory compliance for direct food contact.

This rigid sheet is compatible with various processing techniques, including vacuum blister forming and thermoforming. It features uniform thickness and excellent formability, and can be customized in terms of specifications and surface finishes to meet the diverse structural and aesthetic requirements of different food trays. Additionally, it possesses strong environmental credentials: both APET and PE are recyclable materials, and production scrap can be recycled and reused, aligning perfectly with current trends in sustainable, eco-friendly packaging. As a specialized base material for bottom trays, it seamlessly integrates with the sealing system of PA/PE top films to form a stable food packaging unit. Balancing aesthetics, safety, practicality, and regulatory compliance, it stands as the preferred material for food packaging enterprises.
