12-Micron BOPET Printing-Grade Film (Suitable for Flexible Packaging)
12-Micron BOPET Ultra-High Clarity PET Film Rolls (Flexible Plastic Rolls)
This product is a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) film with a thickness of just 12 microns, specifically designed for high-end flexible packaging printing and lamination applications. Produced using high-purity polyethylene terephthalate (PET) raw materials via a precision biaxial stretching process, it features ultra-high transparency, exceptional gloss, and superior flatness. With a light transmittance exceeding 90% and a haze level below 1.0%, it offers a glass-like visual clarity that vividly showcases the vibrant colors and intricate details of printed designs.
As a printing-grade BOPET film, its surface undergoes corona treatment to ensure a stable surface tension (Dyne level) of 52–56 mN/m. This guarantees strong adhesion for inks and adhesives, making it compatible with various printing methods—including gravure, flexographic, digital, and UV printing. It is widely utilized in premium laminated flexible packaging across sectors such as food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and electronics—serving as a base material for vacuum bags, retort pouches, metallized films, laser anti-counterfeit films, and more. Furthermore, the film boasts excellent mechanical strength (tensile strength ≥ 180 MPa), dimensional stability, and thermal resistance, ensuring it remains free from wrinkling, deformation, or breakage during high-speed lamination, slitting, and bag-making processes.
At 12 microns, this represents an ultra-thin specification within the BOPET film category; while maintaining robust performance, it significantly reduces material consumption, thereby assisting clients in achieving lightweight packaging solutions, cost reductions, and enhanced efficiency. Supplied in roll form to facilitate automated processing, the film is available in standard widths ranging from 400 mm to 1300 mm, with custom widths available upon request. The product complies with food safety regulations, and select variants support recyclable designs, aligning with current sustainability trends.
Leveraging its comprehensive advantages—including high transparency, exceptional strength and toughness, printability, and weather resistance—this 12μm BOPET printing-grade film has emerged as an ideal alternative to traditional thicker PET films or standard CPP/OPP films. It is particularly well-suited for modern flexible packaging solutions that demand stringent standards regarding visual aesthetics, shelf-life preservation, and environmental performance.
